Staff members will engage with guests and help us to provide an amazing Hawaiian experience on the island of Oahu. Housekeepers will ensure rooms, beds, and common areas are clean and ready for incoming guests. Reception will greet new guests, help with check ins and check outs, answer questions, and provide information about the area. All staff are required to be professional at the hostel, even when not working.

My experience at the hostel was unfortunately less than satisfactory. The primary reasons and issues were due to lack of trust in the host, poor communication and bad team morale. This position was paid and really belonged on indeed more than world packers. Many staff members were fired or decided to leave earlier. The location was amazing and the other WP were the best! It was disappointing that I had to leave the position at such short notice but the disregard for the employees well-being, the work environment and the lack of support and respect lead to my decision.

Our experience with Myrridas mirrored her own.
You'll always have those that do not belong in certain hostel environments. Unfortunately, Myrridas was one of those.
Her original agreement, with the previous manager, to join our family included some promised things that never followed through. In the midst of fixing those issues and trying to recreate a wonderful environment for staff, her behavior and personality did not fit our expectations. We tried our best to help her experience something great here, however, from the first day she seemed to have created only one outcome of her time here.
Rather than simply asking her to leave we provided a safe space that gave her the time she needed to figure out whether or not she would like to try and continue her time here. The best option ended up being for her to leave.
