The Experience

We have a farm very near Pokhara valley, where we provide stay for our volunteers. We have chicken, cow, dog, some goats and land for farming. We also grow some vegetables and seasonable crops on our farm. My wife and I live with our two children. Our farm lies in a quiet, spontaneous and beautiful village very near Pokhara Valley. There are hills, rivers, and caves around, so you can go hiking, fishing, swimming and enjoying the gifted nature.

I had the best time at this farm, the hosts are so lovely and we got really involved in the culture, celebrating the Dashain Festival with Tanka's family. We had lots of free time and the work we did was good fun - feeding the baby goat, carrying rocks from the river, cutting grass, and walking the dog. I'd definitely recommend :)

I enjoyed my time at the farm. Tanka and his family are great hosts. I learned about farming and assisted them in setting up their Worldpackers Profile. We recorded videos of the tasks they had to do daily at the farm. It was fun and is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to learn about working in rice fields and with animals.
