I run a small animal resque est in abruzzo italy , in a small town called Pretoro that is set in the foothills of the majela mountain , so called becouse the goddes maea brought her son here to recover after a battle pretoro is set in the natshanal park of abruzzo. Your accomadion is an independent room, most important i can put you in touch with previos helpers.

My time at the home was amazing. Thanks to Roy, I was able to see many beautiful places and take many beautiful photos! In addition, Roy and I cooked pizza, barbecue. Roy is a great cook. Overall, we had a fun time!

i can second all you have said polina it was a pleasure to host you and show you my beatiful abruzzo and to cook for you was such a pleasure as you realy ate my food with relish and a clean plate and a smile every time and now i have a clean and tidybhouse with your exulant cleaning dogs dont wipe thier feet lol

My experience at the home was honestly the best Worldpackers experience I ever had. Roy was so accommodating and kind I felt like I was at home. We cooked together, Sang Together and watched movies together. Roy even introduced me to the Italian locals and helped me worked on my Italian as well as giving me tours of pretoro and the nearby beaches. I recommend this experience to anyone who is looking to get a true Italian experience as well as a feeling of making sure you feel welcome at at home. Thank you so much for the amazing time I will definitely be back :)

I had a wonderful time with Roy, we made a good friendship with him and all the locals which are very nice, work was very easy and at your time, I loved movie nights with wine and spending time with the dogs we were taking care of, Roy is a respectful host and a very funny one, Pretoro is beautiful and if you want to practice your Italian is excellent. I hope to come back next year or some day :) . I am glad I had this experience I made true friends and learnt a lot!

I have spent an amazing time with Roy during my staying ! It was my first experience with worldpackers and i could not imagine it better !:)Tasks were planned ahead and we always talked together about that . Roy is an amazing person and a host, he taught me a lot and I'm very thankful for that. He showed me real Italy: I have met a lot of local people and because of that I could feel like a part of this lovely small village called Pretoro. I can definitely recommend coming here and be a part of Roy's household. Thank you Roy ! You're very kind and positive person. We need people like you!

Unfortunately I was asked to leave after only 2 work days due to some issues. What roy wants is more of a live in companion who is there to help 24/7 not just someone to help with animals. I was not prepared to do this nor did I have any desire to. I was asked to start at early as 7am when the time was listed as 9am start on the application. The house is also very dirty and untidy so I felt very on edge being a clean person. Overall I don't think this experience would be bad for someone who is okay with the mess and wants to be a companion it just wasn't what I signed up for. hope this helps!

yes hands up the house was untidy and a bit dirty as i dont get any younger and take in dogs and cats who are not to good a tyding up and wiping their feet and i have a verry large house and garden and four resque dogs and 3 cats to look after and to cook meals for me and my volenterrs and the deal i cook they washup and i think if you read back though my previus revues it seems to work but of course its obvius not every one in live are compatatable sorry it ended this way but as you will understand it was not all one sideded better luck on your next trip roy
