The Experience

Hi, we are a small Hostel with 16 beds. I, Manfred the owner usually run it by myself - in the winter season when it is busy in need help. At the moment I am looking for someone who helps with cleaning, washing, checking in guests ecc.In return you will have private accomodation - either to yourself or share it with one person. You can also use the Hostel car to explore the island.

My experience with Manfred and Angie was great. They always care that you feel comfortable. The Orotava has colonial architecture and gardens that make you fall in love. The tasks in the hostel are simple and well-defined. It was a pleasure volunteering there.

It was our first volunteering together, we decided to go to Manfreds hostel when we saw how beautiful it is, so many good vibes. I enjoyed the stay, met a lot of new people and friends and felt in love with the streets and views of the zone. Thanks a lot for the experience and hope to see you again :

The owner wanted me to pay. Even though I had a driver's license he didn't let me drive his car after telling me I could. He doesn't know English or Spanish and was really arrogant. It has caused me very big problems for a while. I should have reported. He yelled at me saying that I didn't know how to drive (which is absolutely false because I have had a driving license since 2019). In general it was really childish and did not keep the agreed terms. I do not recommend this place to anyone. The toilet is broken, the place is dirty, the furniture awful and there are ants in the kitchen.

Gracias, Manfred!
