The lodge is a very beautiful place! i got to see monkeys, goats, birds, frogs, cows, and dogs! i loved seeing all the animals. The food was so delicious! Sandra is a great cook! Sandra and Angel are so nice and great hosts. we did some gardening work and i did some art projects. the farm is cute and in a very small town. it's a short drive or a long walk from a river that you can swim in. Sandra and Angel took me out to see a hotel near their farm that had an amazing view! My stay at the lodge was pretty great although the sleeping area was not as clean as i would have wanted.

I only spent one night here but their estate was beautiful. Sandra y Angel were incredibly nice and very understanding. If you are okay with being deep into the jungle with incredible people and some insects, this is a great choice for you!

Angel and Sandra are wonderful people, very caring and sweet. The farm is far from the village but this contribute to the immersion experience. We had the pleasure to live as local people and to meet some of them. All in all, it was a mind blowing experience, that we recommand to other. Plus, we really improved in Spanish and learnt about the life in a finca :)

I loved my time at the Finca and I am so happy about choosing this experience!!! Sandra and Angel are amazing people with a big heart, open mind and they made me feel so comfortable and welcomed! The Finca is absolutely stunning, in the midst of beautiful nature and animals. I learned a lot from my time there from cooking, working with plants, substanibility, recycling to the generell living of locals in Costa Rica. You can find a lot of time to connect with the nature but also with yourself. Ps: I was happy to bring a moscitonet :)

If you keep in mind you are going to work on a farm, this is a great experience. I appreciated the large portions of good food (thank you Sandra) and the flexibility of the schedules. I do have to say who you are with greatly effects your experience there as there aren't many other people you interact with other than the family and other volunteers. That being said there is also Missy the cat that will always be there to hang out. Overall I would recommend this experience to anyone looking to work on a small farm and learn about Costa Rican culture.
