The Experience

We have a farm on the Sicilian hills, with a sight for the seaside! We have animals to take care of and fruit trees, vineyard, olive tree, and vegetable garden, so we have a lot of tasks to do, according to the season. If you have some experience with farm work, you are more than welcome to help and teach us some things as well. If you have no experience, but are willing to help and learn, you are also more than welcome! Work hard, play harder :)

Thank you for this great experience :) it was very nice to stay at the farm which is very minimalistic and cosy, perfect to get in touch with nature. Make sure to take the shortcuts when going to Alì Terme and try hitchhiking! You can charge your devices at Todaro (best gelato place you'll find). The beach is very nice and not touristy at all, very calm. Going to towns nearby by train is very easy and reliable. The work was good, it always depends on the season what your tasks will be. Thank you Filippo! Laeticia&Steven

Super lovely setting in the hills of Sicily, about an hours walk from the beach town where you can charge phones and buy food and swim obviously. This town is super local and there aren't many tourists so you get a feel for the traditional way of living. The work was good and you don't have long hours, only thing was the heat (obviously, it'll be hot in Sicily in August) while camping. Other than that it was a super fun way to meet new people and immerse yourself in nature and the hosts are accommodating.

I had an amazing time there, and Filipo is a great person. He gave me options of work, and let me choose what I rather do, he would work with me, or came often to check if everything was fine. Work can be hard, but he is a flexible person, and the hours are respected. The view from the farm is amazing, even more beautiful than the pictures. I highly recommend the experience. The structure needs some improvement though, so if you're a person who likes to be really confortable that might not be the best place for you.

Mila what to say, she was great in every projects she did.
It was great to have her at the camp and organize the cleaning of some nice spot to give life to some tree. She was fighting with all the bad grass to win the space :).
She is very responsible and enterprising organizing her task very good to have some fun at the same time.
We started the projects that Mila suggested about the shelter, now we are waitng for her to finallize the project :)
Hope you are doing good in your travelling.
Always you will be welcome at the farm.

The farm is located the farm big hill next to the sea, so the view is amazing. Also Filippo was very considerate and always asked if we the farm anything. We could see that they planted vegetables and volunteers can eat it, but we arrive almost at winter when season was finishing, so we couldn't take advantage of that. In summary is a good place, but you must be aware before you arrive that there is not a proper toilet, shower or kitchen (just a kind of ecological ones), so if you are ok with that and you carry your own camping staffs (sleeping bags and cookware) you wil enjoy the experience more

I met Leslie and Camila just for very shot time when they arrived, But i was in contact with them when i was away.
They gave a big support to the project even if it was the end of the season for camping.
They were very responsible and kept the camp very organized and finish some of the projects that the other volunteers started.
They did a great job with the roof of the shelter that we are using now, all the volunteers here at moment give a big thanks to them :).
